Ambimind’s Commitment to Well-being and Safety

Ambimind promotes and safeguards the well-being of young people. We understand the challenges and mental health difficulties which young people face and do our best to support and keep children safe to reduce further harm. Protecting the safety of children and young people using this app is very important to us.

Support and Emergency Services

Ambimind does not provide a helpline or support service but we do offer names of national organizations that may help in our Useful Numbers section. We do not take responsibility for these contacts and encourage you to seek help or tell a trusted adult if you feel low in mood or out of control of your thoughts or actions.

We are not an emergency service and our company email address and telephone number are not to be used in the case of an emergency. If you are in crisis and need urgent support or are worried about immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, please do the following:

  • Call 999 (Emergency services)
  • Contact your GP and ask for an emergency appointment
  • Visit your local A&E department

If you write to us with a query, which concerns us in terms of your safety, we are unable to respond to this.

Duty of Care and Legal Requirements

If you still write to us using your identification (such as an email address) and we have cause to be concerned for your safety, we may have to share some information without your agreement. This is required by law to prevent harm, as we have a duty of care in safeguarding young people.

We may also have to give your information to the police or other investigatory bodies and authorities, including legal personnel, if we get a formal legal request (e.g., a search warrant, court order, etc.).

Data Protection and Confidentiality

To protect the confidentiality of the app, the safety of users, and the rights of others under the Data Protection Act 1998/General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/2017), users may share information gathered on the app with their support workers, police, or legal representatives.
